Bean Sprout Soup (Kongnamulguk)
Bean sprouts with sesame seed oil and seeds are always a side dish (banchan), but one of the best and oldest Korean soups is Kongnamulguk - a bean sprout soup with a touch of anchovy and sesame seed and oil flavors. 

I've made a meal out of the soup, steam rice, kimchi, and noodles when not having a main entree.
